At this moment, it seems silly to write a blog about something less worldly than the 2020 Election results, and a garden tool would seem to fit that bill. And yet, I think I've heard about as much analysis, speculation and conjecture as any citizen should be allowed to hear or forced to consume.
So here's the view from my section of the cheap seats. More or less we have 70 some days before the inauguration during which time there's Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's Day. It will be difficult not to get caught up in an endless and breathless media frenzy, so try this as an anodyne: don't check the news before 8am and stop checking after 6pm. "Breaking News" doesn't mean what it used to -- all it means now is, "LISTEN TO THIS!" I was surprised at how well this works, how much more calm I am, and actually more refreshed. Ignore what jacks you up and control your diet of heart-stopping non-stories. To the extent possible, reconnect with friends and family and take the holiday season to adjust your appetite for large, red, bold, blaring news banners at the bottom of your screen! Be safe. Be smart. Be yourself.

I like your suggestion to limit news consumption for a calmer holiday season.

It's the best tool you've never had because until now, it didn't exist.
Why NEWS?GNH is weird, versatile, strong, and new on the market. I thought we should explain it and ourselves! |
