Gardeners are just a different breed of cat. Maybe it’s a sixth sense. Or a feeling in their bones? The “light of nature” is a new one on me. How about we go with an intuition about living things and get on with it?
The world can be seemingly falling down around our ankles with deadly pandemic, cavernously divisive politics, the uncertainty of millions out of work, an educational system re-inventing itself daily, and the iterative isolation of family and friends because we cannot not socialize.
And while all that takes an equal toll on gardeners, they find a healing solace in the purity of dirt, the chaos of weeds, an endless invasion of pests, the duties of watering, and the satisfaction of tending a rejuvenation of nature.
Through it all, life will find a way. And that’s the gardener’s secret that brings to them a sense of calm when they emerge from their sanctuary of soil.
It's the best tool you've never had because until now, it didn't exist.
GNH is weird, versatile, strong, and new on the market. I thought we should explain it and ourselves!
